This Privacy Policy describes how JEB Studios (“we”, “us”) handles information in the mobile app Pocket Studio (the “App”), an offline-first product photo editor for e-commerce, available on Google Play.
Summary
Pocket Studio is designed to work primarily on your device. Photo editing, background removal, and export are processed locally. We do not require an account, we do not display advertisements, and we do not operate our own servers to collect or store your photos or project data.
Information we store on your device
The App saves data locally in your device’s app storage. This may include:
- Editing projects — imported product photos, segmentation masks, canvas layers (text, stickers, backgrounds), and project metadata
- Watermark templates — saved watermark designs and related assets
- App settings — preferred AI model quality, language, and theme (light/dark/system)
- Optional AI model file — if you choose to download the high-quality background-removal model, it is stored on your device for offline use
When you export an image, the App saves the result to your device gallery only when you explicitly choose to do so. Deleting a project, watermark, or uninstalling the App removes the corresponding local data from your device.
Photos and camera access
Pocket Studio lets you import images from your gallery or capture new photos with the camera. Images you select are copied into the App’s private storage to support editing. We do not upload your photos to our servers. All image processing — including background removal, recoloring, compositing, and export — runs on your device.
Network use
The App works offline for core editing features. Internet access is used only when you choose to download the optional high-quality AI model from a public file host (Google Cloud Storage). That download is initiated by you and the file is verified on your device before use. We do not send your photos or project data over the network.
Device permissions (Android)
On Android, the App may request or use the following:
- Internet — required only to download the optional high-quality AI model.
- Camera — to capture product photos inside the App.
- Photos / media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) — to import images from your gallery.
- Storage (legacy Android versions) — on older devices, may be used to read imported images or save exports to the gallery.
The App does not access your contacts, microphone, precise location, or call logs.

The App bundles fonts locally and does not fetch fonts from third-party servers at runtime.
Backups and data security
Android backup for the App is disabled. Your project files remain in the App’s private storage area. We recommend exporting finished images if you want copies outside the App.
Children’s privacy
Pocket Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is intended for sellers, creators, and general users who need product photo editing tools.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
